    Dog Tooth Brush?

Hey everyone, Barry -- Fritz's owner -- and I were chatting on PM about brushing dog's teeth.

I know you have to use dog toothpaste and not human tooth paste. But then it gets interesting!

Do you brush your dog's teeth? Which type of brush do you use?

There is a finger tip brush which is all plastic:

Or a finger tip brush with bristles:

There are gloves with bristles on the thumb and index finger:

    There is the ergonomic brush:

    And the Double Ended Brush:

And also, there is the Easy Brush, which has bristles and the dog chews on it (rather costly):

So which do you use? Do you like it? Does your DOG like it?

If you use another type, please include a photo for all of us!

None of us use dog brushes. The dogs would hate it... and I'm afraid if I did try it on Dotty she would go crazy and I would end up stabbing her with the end. She's not fixed yet so she's really wild, and she's part coyote.

Sure alot of different toothbrushes for dogs. They never had baths either. They're dirty dirty dogs..

If I did brush their teeth, it would probably be the glove, though.

We will brush their teeth every once in a blue moon if theyre looking really bad. J will get out a metal scraper/pick type of thing (used for humans... ) and use it on Zeke's back teeth because they tend to get a build up.

Our dogs are so toy driven so they chew a lot on rubber bones and stuff which all helps to keep their teeth pearly white. =)

I've never seen the little glove ones, or the finger tip ones for that matter. Ours is a triangle shaped head of bristles with a shorter handle.

Bunny: BoxerxSheppard mix, Eli: Boxer, Treo: Boxer
Zeke [RB]: RottweilerxAustrailian Cattle Dog mix

Oscar & Chloe: White's Tree Frogs, Kiwi & Wasabi: Green Tree Frogs

I brush Layla and Jake's teeth twice a week, Wed. and Sat. I use a doggy brush with an angle but am going to try kids toothbrushes instead. They don't seem to mind it, they're used to it, Jake actually likes it. I don't brush Lacey's teeth because I like my fingers. I did try when Lacey was a puppy, she was just too wild. She just doesn't like to be messed with, never has.

I use the finger brush on the top. I buy the doggie toothpaste at Petsmart. NO, they hate it!! It's like wrestling tigers to brush their teeth. It's getting so hard to corral them, I may resort to a vet cleaning. I dread it because I don't want them put under. I may be able to get away with sedation. I'll try to do it myself as long as possible.

Sometimes, I scrape Delilah's teeth and she hates that too but she's not as bad with it. When I see plaque on their teeth I get crazy.

    I've been Boo'd...
    Thanks Barry!
