AOL - I'm doing this wrong..

I just downloaded AIM again after many years, but had to register with a new username. Now when I try to add names, nothing is happening..

What is the trick? It's asking for a "screen name" and a "user name".. which one do I use? Does it ask the person to accept me or something?

I might be able to help you. Do you mean AOL instant messenger or AIM e-mail, as I have both. I have AIM 6 on this computer and also the older version.
