What a sight for sore eyes this Sunday morning, a wonderful blue eyed beauty!
It sounds as if you had a rough go of it the first year of your life, but it sounds like it's getting better and better all the time! Your owner must love you VERY much (I know I would if you were mine!).
Wearing a husky out is quite a job, but if you do, you know your job is well done and they've had a great day! And hearing those howls of joy are the ultimate high for a husky owner!

Nicolas, you won my heart in a split second. Those eyes, that smile and your striking husky coloring...I just can't imagine anyone ever giving you up. Now that you have found the perfect person with whom to share your life, it is very appropriate that you are Dog of the Day because it is certainly a way to celebrate the good fortune of you and your guardian. Sometimes life can be a struggle, but when we see where it leads us, we know that the destination was worth the journey.

Sweet Nikolas, I just love your magnificent blue eyes, your loving face, and your beautiful coloring, all the way down to the brown outlines on the inside tops of your ears! Huskies have always been one of my favorite dogs. Although I have 3 cats right now, if I ever get a doggy again I'd seriously love a Husky just like you! I'm sorry for your rough start, and it's a shame you didn't just get to be with this Perfect Human from the beginning, but at least you're together now and the story will have a forever happy ending! Sweet Nikolas, youve had a rough start but now you're living the good life. Huskys can be very stubborn, mine will voice his opinion about something if he doesnt like my command. He will come on command and that is very important!! I am sure you will in time!! I love the woo woo's too. You're a totally different breed of dog and I have to admit I do like the stubborn mind of the husky, it makes you guys seem more human. I have to turn away and laugh then turn to him to make him do what I told him to. Have a very happy dotd and keep cool, its one hot day!!!

And like you, she too had a rough start start in life. It was hard at first for her in the beginning to cast aside her old fears and apprehensions; to know that for sure, she was "home" to stay. But after a bit of time and a lot of loving her trust and confidence grew and grew! Of course, like you Nicolas, she still has that Husky urge to wander!
