On Christmas Eve a man brought this poor baby girl to the NEGAS shelter to be put to sleep. He had taken her to the vet and said he couldn't keep he with her condition.. He said she was a stray and he would have kept her if she was not blind. She's not just blind--she has no eyes! The vet thinks she was born that way. She is very very sweet and does pretty well getting around at the shelter.

She has started sneezing and is being treated. The shelter does not want to have to euthanize her. She is a very loving cat.

Please do not let this Christmas angel die!

That poor, dear, little kitty. She looks like a real sweetie. I hope that she can be placed in a loving home. Prayers that this Christmas angel will get a New Year's miracle!

The wheels are turning in my head. I mapquested this and it's about 7 1/2 hours away. That's not so bad. I dont have to be at work until Monday, the 5th, so I may have time for an unexpected road trip.
I'm going to see if I can rally some troops to go with me or work out something else. She is beautiful!!!!

How wonderful that would be if you gave this fur baby a home. Just looking at that face you can tell this is a very very special baby.

I will hang back and wait to see what happens with her then. I did not want her to be put down, and if someone is closer, etc that can give her a great home that is all I want for her. I will keep an eye on this post and see if someone gets her.

Well, a lot of people are working on her, but the only actual interest I've seen is here. If you're really interested, you might call the shelter & let them know, hoping that "accidents" won't happen.

From blind cat rescue by way of Queen Scoopalot:

Hi Jan, the cat is not in immediate danger.... they like her so are keeping her alive in hopes of finding a home... I told them to contact me before they kill her, that we would take her....

I emailed them to see if she was still available. As you know I was adopting a vision impaired cat that Emily the spoiled was fostering for me but ended up falling in love with so I let her keep her. This baby is adorable and I would love to have her. The only thing is I don't know how she would get to Ky. My van is not in any shape for a road trip. I am surprised it gets me to work and back. If anyone finds out anything about this baby please let me know. I don't get to a computer everyday since I am off for Christmas break. I go back to work on the 4th.
