Look what I had for Christmas..

This Christmas I had the most wonderful present I have ever had in my life.
Kevin had got a book made about Jack for me. For those that may not know, Jack my beloved tabby boy passed away March 4th 2008 after an operation to remove a thyoid gland. It hit me very very hard, and at times I felt I didn't want to live anymore without him. It has been a long and hard road of grief this last year, and since losing him much has changed in my life, I know Jack is watching over me and has initiated all the changes that have happened to me.
Knowing how much I miss my beloved boy, Kevin (my fiance) had a book especially made for me, he worked on the photographs, and wrote the text secretly for months whenever he had a spare moment and it was a gift for me this Christmas. As you can imagine I cried my eyes out when he gave it to me and I sat reading it, sobbing and sobbing. However it is beautiful, and simply the best present I have ever had, and ever will in my life. It is a wonderful tribute to my beautiful Jack, who I love and miss forever.

I wanted to share this with you.

That has got to be the sweetest thing your fiance could ever do. I absolutely loved it. I would be smiling and crying at the same time while reading through and looking at all the pictures.

You definitely have a wonderful man there.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Thank you everybody. I know that all Pet Talker's would appreciate this. All on this forum have animals that are precious to them be it cat/dog/rabbit etc, and all love them so much. I knew that it would be valued here, as to those on this website it's not 'just an animal'. Jack was my soulmate, the love of my life, and it's so nice to be able to show others who will like it too.
I am very lucky to have a human soulmate in Kevin too, I think he found a solace in making the book and it was his own tribute to Jack and how much he misses him too.
If you are interested he had it done by www.bobbooks.co.uk they print and bind the books. He knew of this company through the wedding photography he does as they make albums for the company he works for. I haven't looked at the site myself, but they do all types of books I believe.

To have my very own hard back book of Jack is just the best thing ever. I will treasure it forever and along with Jack's memorial photo album it helps to heal the pain when you have those dark times.

That is an absolutely beautiful book of your Jack - and how sweet of your husband to have it done. You will treasure it forever.

I remember Jack very well, he was such a gorgous boy.
