    Who's this!?

Meet Henry Paul! He's a 14 month old shih tzu mix rescue from TN

here's what went down...I have been in Wisconsin for a lil over a week now visiting a friend and i took my 3 girls with me (sheeba, shadow & keesha) well since i have been here my friend has really taking a liking to Shadow because she is so laid back and easy going and i took a liking to her lil dog Henry Paul...
so we decided to "trade" dogs...
i don't want to delve into our personal lives but i think alot of you know the history between me and my father about my dogs and since i am again currently living in his house..it's an ongoing fight..

so our reasons for trading were...

#1 Henry Paul is very energetic and my friend has a number of health problems that keep her from giving him the exercise he needs
#2 Shadow is very calm and fits in wonderfully with my friend and her other dogs, plus with my friend she will be able to be indoors and my friend has about an acre and a half fenced in for shadow to romp around in and is moving to a larger place that has 2 + acres..
#3 My dad will allow Henry Paul inside his house because he is small and doesnt shed.

so all in all both dogs win and still have great homes, i know some people may not agree with me but i know that we did what was best for both dogs.

i will miss shadow but i know she will be happy here and i can always visit when i want to

sorry for big pictures..she doesnt have a resizing program

    before haircut

after haircut and surgery but before cone lol (he was neutered and had hernia surgery last friday)

with the cone and a new collar

    he's my lil dapper dude

He is adorable! But I must admit I like his before picture much better.
I think it's kinda funny you are trading dogs. LOL Hey, what ever works.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

That's a decision strictly between you and your friend, and if you don't mind, and the dogs don't mind, there's certainly no harm done. How do you think the dogs will react when they are at their new home, and the human that they've lived with is no longer there? Maybe you should do it on a trial basis to be sure that they adjust well, and if they do, then make it permanent.

Henry Paul definitely has dachshund in him by the looks as well - I recognise those squiggly front legs anywhere! It sounds like you have done the best for both dogs and I'm glad that you are happy with Henry Paul, he looks like a sweetie
Watch out over the coming months for my brand new website: www.vetnurse.co.nz - currently being constructed (nothing there ATM!) - will update when I can

Don't make someone else pick up your litter - have your cats/dogs/rabbits desexed!!!

    Yay! I've been boo'd!
