    Weird bumps

Cincy has some weird bumps on her "arm" right near the armpit. We noticed the first one earlier this week and it looked like a "pimple". We just decided to keep an eye on it and see. Today, Ralph noticed that it had a white head on it and got some junk out of it. at the same time, she has several more inthe same area. Since it is a holiday weekend, I can't really talk to a vet until Monday (unless it is an emergeny) and I don't think this is. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

I have not, but it just sounds annoying, not serious ... Have you searched some of the veterinary websites?

A couple of weeks ago Smudge had something sort of like that...there weren't any white heads or anything but he had little bumps that almost looked like bites on his stomach it turned out to be the start of a skin infection that was caught before it could go out of control, the vet gave him some pills and it cleared up. Only I think I got the infection in my eye the next week...either that or the stress of worrying about Winter's xrays gave it to me.

It doesn't sound like anything serious though so Cincy should be able to hold out till this week to see the vet

Thanks Amy for the great sig!

Sounds like fire ant bites, if they are tiny bumps. She might also have a heat rash.

Take her to the vet. Tango had a small bump this past summer and it turned out to be a cancerous mast cell tumor. He was lucky that surgery was all that was needed, but that it just because I caught it so quickly and it had not had much time to spread. It may just be a pimple or a wart, but I would want that peace of mind.

Well, whatever they were, they seem to be going away now. We just sorta kept an eye on them this week and They are much, much smaller (almost flat now) with little scabs on them. We had been givingher some vitamins and in retrospect, I think maybe the oil was just too much for her. Thanks for your concern!!!

Glad that they are going away. Could they have been an insect bite perhaps? Or an allergic reaction to something?
