I'm so glad Gus finally made it! He was a young hamster then, but now he's 2 years 9 months old. He's not as active as he once was, but he is still very loved.

You're one lovable little guy, and your human is rightfully proud! Hello, adorable Gus Gus! Congratulations to you and your proud human AJ on your Pet of the Day honor! It was a pretty long wait, but worth it in the end I`m sure, as you are surely Pet of the Day every day in your home! It sounds like you`ve got quite the life, Mr. Gus Gus, what with all your activities and watching Animal Planet. You definitely do sound like a smart guy, to stand on the remote and change the stations when you want your favorite channel on. And watermelon and yogurt treats do sound like pretty yummy treats; what a lucky boy you are! I hope you have been enjoying your special day!

Sadly, Gus Gus passed away on October 27th. But he was a fighter till the end! I'm so glad that he was able to enjoy seeing himself be an internet star, if only for a day! He was very proud. I miss him every day, but always have the wonderful memories of time spent with my little man.
