Jake's story is one of those where I have mixed emotions - wanting to cry and just being

! Thank goodness you stepped into his life when you did. He is amazingly handsome and I wish both of you happiness always! Another happy ending! Congrats to you Jake on being DOTD!

Hi, Jake. You are such a handsome and happy-looking boy. I'm so sorry for your difficult past, but I'm happy that you are healing and are in a loving home. I can't understand animal abuse. It's just evil. But you are a shining example of how a dog can recover and find love again. Bless your soul! Enjoy your special day with your family. Have lots of fun and hugs and kisses too. I'm so glad you are loved and taken care of now and I really think there's a special place waiting in heaven for angels like you. Good afternoon and happy Dog of the Day to you precious Jake! Awww, just look at you snuggling with your fave Bobo! You're one hunky-handsome, lovable boy, that's for sure!

What a heart-wrenching but ultimately happily, heartwarming story of rescue is yours! I can't understand for the life of me why anyone would choose to have a dog only to neglect, abuse and in the end, abandon him/her!!! All I can say is thank goodness for that foreclosure, making possible your rescue, taking you out of the hands of those evil, heartless souls! Now, thanks to the devotion and unconditional love of your forever human, your family, you're making great strides in learning to trust humans again, learning to enjoy life to its fullest, the life you were born to live and enjoy! And enjoying it you clearly are; just look at that happy, smiling face! You and your human are so very blessed to have found your way to one another!!! Much love and congratulations to you on your much deserved Sunday "top dog" honors, sweetheart!
