Fire truck parade!

During Tyler's nap this afternoon I was just hanging around with my husband and son when we heard a ton of sirens. I started freaking out because they were on our street! Right before I ran out the door my husband remembered that they were having a fire truck parade today!! Hubby rushed outside with Austin and I went and woke Tyler up from a sound sleep so that he could come out and see the trucks!
The firefighters tossed tons of candy at us and seriously made Tyler's day

Unfortunately I didn't think to grab the camera


Now we have a slightly grumpy 3 year old who is NOT going to go back to sleep to finish his nap and who is going to be VERY grouchy this evening . Oh well.

Missy what fun!! It makes me think of the firetruck parades we had when we lived in Germany (you were newborn so guess you don't remember) - but trucks from lots of neighboring villages would come through the apartment area and do the sirens and wave. I have one on video somewhere....Kids loved it! Glad that Tyler got to see this!!!
