Handholding Otters Nyak & Milo- Nyak died in Vancouver today-pic added

Nyak, the otter made famous in the youtube video where she is filmed 'holding paws' with her otter pal, Milo, died today at the age of 20 from Leukemia. It is believed that the Leukemia may have been the result of the Exxon Valdez oil spill that she got caught up in and was then rescued from. She went on to live at the Vancouver Aquarium in 1989.
I hope they can find a new friend for Milo.

I remember those Otters. They were so cute. That's so sad to hear that one died.

Rest In Peace Nyak.

I loved that video. I sent it to my sister after I
saw it & she loved it too. My sister is a big animal lover also.

I don't think I'll share this news just yet, it would make her sad as well.
