    Horrible experiance at Arby's!!

Holy cow!! The other night, hubby and our babysitter who is a 17 yr old girl, ran to Arby's to get us some dinner. Hubby came home Furous!! He said while he was in the drive thru, the guy taking the order told him he couldnt hear what hubby was saying. So our babysitter, got out of the car, and went to the speaker, and began to recite our order. The employee began yelling at her!!! Telling her not to yell into the speaker, which she wasnt!
Then another emplyee came on the speaker, telling hubby that the guy who was yelling was a manager. and that he was under alot of stress! Then while the new employee began taking the order, the other guy came to the back door and continued to verbally abuse my hubby and babysitter!!
So the other employee told hubby she would throw in a free soda, for the inconvienience!
So hubby came home, told me about what happened. We then sat down to eat, and realized half our order was missing!!
So needless to say, I was furious!!

So I had the reciept, which has the store number, emploee name ect. I contacted the Regional Office, and filed a complaint!

Here is the E-mail I just recieved from them.

    Dear XXXXXXX,
I have received your notice of complaint and apologize for the rude behavior of my employee. This situation has been corrected and the employee has been demoted with a stern warning on his employee record.
I will mail you several Gift Certificates for future use at Arby's and I know your next experience at our restaurant will be positive.

    Again my apologies,

    A. Lavker
    Owner and Franchisee
    Maggie,

Wow, and I was just talking about going to Arby's for their special - 5 items for $5.95.
Let's see if they actually send you any coupons. At least you did get a response. But I also wonder if what they said is true. The manager was demoted? It would be nice if it were true though. I guess next time you go there (IF you decide to go back) you could see if they are still a manager.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I am wondering if maybe the "manager" was simply a "shift manager", and not the store manager. My (now ex) used to be an Arby's manager, and he had several shift managers who were just folks with a little more experience in the store, meaning they had been there for longer than others. Sad to think that you were treated as you were, no matter if it was a manager, owner, shift manager, or simply an employee! Come on, good customer service should be provided by ALL members of the team!

I hope the manager/owner follows through and makes it up to you.

I'm sorry to hear that this happened. If it were me, I would've probably told them to just forget my order and then I would've drove away never to return again. Hopefully they really did resolve the problem.

WOW!! That manager must have been really stressed. You did exactly what I would do. The restaurant will almost always make it up to you and apologize for the inconvenience.

Today I got my Gift Certificates in the mail. So I was plesantly suprised, since I didnt realy expect them. They gave me 20$ worth, which i think was very nice of them. Since my original order was 30$. So I got more than half back!
