    Corky and Tibby

I introduced the new kitten to Corkscrew yesterday and so far all seems well. Corkscrew is a little mad at me, he not as affectionate as he has been. But hopefully with a little time a love he'll be back to his old self. But he's been good to the kitten. He really isn't sure if he should love or hate her so he does both. He'll hiss and pin her down then start to lick her. It's so cute. He's also being really gentle with her, he's knows that she's a baby so to be nice. I'm just amazed at how well he has been reacting to her.
    I've been Defrosted!

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

Glad they are getting along. I look at my cats, see what they do, and think I know how they will react, then they surprise me by doing things I would not have thought they would do.

it usually takes about a week for the older members to accept a new one. So, if they hiss, and growl, it should soon pass.

The general concensus seems to be that a resident adult cat will more readily accept a kitten, as opposed to another adult cat, living in their territory.

It has been almost a month since Schuyler (white, almost 2yrs. old) has been co-mingling with my other two females and they still have an attitude toward him. I expected Lily (blue, elderly) would NEVER fully accept his presence, but I had hoped that Debra (blk./wht., about 2 yrs. old) would take to him and enjoy having a playmate. So far, it is not happening.

Best of luck with yours; it sounds like they are bonding!
