Need Healthy Dog Recipes for "Dog Cookbook"

We had an idea in at our stuco meeting this afternoon to raise funds; maybe we could compile together a "dog/cat treat recipe cookbook" and sell for money. However, I know some instructors are concerned about "health", eventhough I think they're supposed to be treats (hey, even kids get a candy bar now and then, why can't a dog have some treats?), and they're worried about possible adverse reactions.

I know you can just take some canned food and bake it, and take canned pumpkin and bake it to make hard treats, which is what we're going to do for a fundraiser at some local events coming up, however that is only two recipes and would hardly make an entire cookbook, so my question is, what are your favorite recipes, and if you could please also make asterisks next to ingredients that you think may have possible allergy problems, etc? Like I know some animals are allergic to corn, wheat, soy, etc... it would help a lot.

If you came up with it yourself let me know, and credit will be given to you if this even "hits the shelves".

    Thanks everyone!!

I bought a dog food cookbook when I first got Shawnee 'cause I thought it'd be fun to cook homemade dog treats and meals for my dogs, but then after I started researching healthier dog foods I realized almost every recipe in the cookbook I bought required whole wheat flour, which is an ingredient many of the newer dog foods stay away from.

Earlier this morning I fed my dogs a concoction of cooked free-range organic chicken (boneless, skinless) tossed in the super blender along with 2 cups of cold water then I mixed in some of that Halo brand salmon seasoning. Then I poured the liquidy substance over each dog's "special blend" as my mom calls it (Shawnee = Wellness Core, Tatum = Super5mix Chicken, Hector = Hunden Flocken, er whatever it's called). They all gobbled it up, though it was a little soupy.

Vets have told me in the past to replace a little kibble with green beans and carrots in Hector's food 'cause he is so damn chubby, but he never eats them. He just eats around them and goes straight for the kibble!!

Naw, not at this point! I mean I didn't really "invent" baking canned food into treats either, hehe.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys
