I was wondering about the FOSTER HOMES FOR DOGS

I have a pup that my parents will not let me keep and I just got him from the pound two months ago and I don't want to put him back.. I really would like to keep him and was wondering if there would be anyone in the Louisiana area that could keep him for 6 months to a year.. If close to the baton Rouge area that would be lovely that way maybe I could visit.. But if there is no one who is willing to keep him temp.. I will have to get rid of him but I want to know that it will be a good home.
He is about 4 and a half months old and is a beagle mix. He loves attention. He is even described by all the vets to be CUTE! Even on the charts.. He loves to lick and will probably need a friend.. Right now he is accompanied by a lab mix which she will be remaining here. He does have a habit of digging to get to the one he loves. But I have not had any other problems with him he is really a good dog..

Your new pup is in a sad situation. Try to find a rescue group in your area maybe mix breed or beagle rescue. How did you adopt a dog but didn't know if you could give him a home? Did you move back in with your mom or your living arrangments change? Why won't your mom let you keep the dog at her house? Please don't give your dog to just anyone or back to the pound where he will have a very good chance to be put to sleep. Being a cute or nice dog won't help him much on death row. Tell us more about the dog please.

    FOUND ONE IN BATON ROUGE:

Her name is Cindy, (225) 766-2854. Call her with the particulars.
She is asking for: Size, mix, medical history, and age.

You will probably need to fill out an Owners Release form, but she will give you particulars.

Most rescues will not hold temporary you will need to pay a boarder for that. And under the circumstances, that would not be fair to the dog.

    Call her. Good luck.

She explained in the other "beaglemis has me at wits end" post that she is leaving for college, and had thought she would be able to take him with her, but just found out that she cannot.

Hopefully a beagle rescue place will be able to help!

Many times when you turn a dog into a shelter (owner surrenders), they cut their adoption time short (as little as 3 days or less). Those poor dogs are pts very quickly. Your best bet would be a breed specific rescue. Please try that, if you can't keep or place the dog.

There is no way that he is going back in a shelter...
I will only be giving him to someone.
He has had Bortatella (kennel Cough) and is now better. But his teeth are not falling out like they should. His baby canines are not falling out but his adult teeth are coming in.. Hopefully they will come out on there own but there is no way to tell. He does have a skin infection that just started.
If mel55smiles is willing to keep him and foster him I would try to keep money and food for him. He is a very sweet dog. We have had several dogs and my sister has just wanted to have nothing to do with them, but when he came to the house he was the only dog that sparked an intrest in dogs for her. She loves this dog and wants to keep him too but as life may have it she can not either.
I really just need someone for at least 6 months or a year. Hopefully I can get a house for the following year that I can keep him at.
As for the people who don't know I got him because I was going to move into a house with other people and this did not work.
So my pup is feeling it.
Fidget has been vaccinated with 7-in-one and Rabies. He is heartworm neg. and is on interceptor. He is 4 months old. He also is on Frontline. Right now he has only been with me for 2 months. and I think that he will probably move easily. Hopefully. I only wonder about B-B.
