I received a birthday present of a new lens for my camera. Yes, Rob has scored a few more points in my books. I also can't wait to take it to the cottage and get hunting for some nature pics.
It's going to take me awhile to get used to the lens, it's heavier and I really should use a tripod. But, here are the first samples using Gigi and Steve as test subjects.

You can see our sunroom's glass ceiling being reflected in her eye here. Pretty cool, since I was quite a distance away from her when I took the pic.
As you can see, this mouse has seen better days! One eye missing and a tattered nose!
Hope to improve a great deal once I experiment more with the lens.
And since I haven't updated things in awhile, we're almost finished the home renos! We just had a colour specialist come by to help us pick out paint colours. It's going to be so nice to finally paint! And, I will finally be able to frame some of my pictures and get them up on a wall.
We're currently working on the fireplace surround/mantle and then will get the garage up by the end of the summer. Next year will be the outdoor landscaping/deck and we'll be done! So, the whole home makeover is almost complete......as my wallet sighs in exhausted relief!
And, Rob and I are actually still together and didn't kill each other in the process. I guess after 13 years we're stuck with each other.
