    I'm worried

I have two male strays that come by every afternoon for feeding. They
very rarely miss a day but they did not come tonight. There is a big
snow storm moving into our area this evening & I know I'll worry about
them if they don't make it soon. Good thoughts for them please. Thanks.

Prayers for your babies and hopefully they will come by soon. I also feed strays and worry lots when one of them doesn't show up so I understand how you feel. Good vibes for your babies.

"The Boys" might have decided to skip supper in favor of finding a warm spot to hunker down in.

Prayers said for "The Boys" having a warm and safe night.

If they are anything like the strays I am feeding, they have many folks looking out for them. I don't know who the other people are, but I KNOW I don't give them enough for them to be so 'plump!'

With a storm coming, everyone who feeds tends to put out extra. So maybe they just got full! Now isn't that a nice thought? I know sometimes mine don't show up and I think that is what happened. (other times I never figure out WHY they didn't show up the night they skipped.)

Even when they aren't 'ours,' they can work their way into our hearts! Sigh.

I hope they were just looking for a nice warm place to shelter. I will certainly be sending them good vibes. I know how much I worried about mine when they were outside.

I concur w/everyone. They probably hunkered down and when they get hungry enough, they'll be back. Plus as someone mentioned, they probably go to several houses and get fed. I'm sure they're fine.

Well they never did show up last night. I kept checking for them until
11pm. The youngest cat (approx 1yr) came this morning but still no sign
of the older cat. Last time he went missing he came back with a torn ear.

I hope they do have someone else that helps feed them too.I wouldn't
be so concerned about them. They both seem starved & eager to eat,
but maybe they need more food to help them stay warm. I keep checking
on them today. Thanks for all good thoughts for them.

When I was feeding so many outdoor cats, I mixed dry w/canned food and gave them warm cream, too. Many PTers would disagree w/me on giving them cream because some cats are lactose intolerant, I guess but mine aren't and I've never had any problems in that regard. It puts fat on them and keeps them warm in winter and it warms their bones, too. Try not to worry.

Glad that at least one is there. I hope the other one shows up as well. I am sure however that they know where to hide in a weather like this!

Liz, I so hope they found shelter, and are being fed by someone else. Glad to hear one of them showed up. Hopefully nothing happened to the other one.

If it's freezing outside, put a tiny bit of salt in their water, then it won't freeze.

Thanks for looking out for these kitties, I hope they're safe!

When we had the strays in Bridgewater, before I put the food out in the shelter that we fixed up for them, I would microwave the food so it would be warm for awhile. Then if they did not should up, I would renuke the food!!! I hope they are in a safe place out of the weather! You are doing a good thing!

Randi, thanks for the tip with the water. I'll do that.

Still no sign of the big guy. I walked around the house to make sure he
wasn't laying somewhere hurt, but there was no sign of him. I'll just keep
    checking every once in awhile.

I hope he comes back soon. It's so distressing when they don't return. One of mine is AWOL, too.

I use a heated bird bath to provide fresh water all winter long.

Still no sign of the older cat. I even walked the neighbood & checked
the side streets. It was beautiful sunshine & 40 degees today & he's still
missing. I beginning to get a very bad feeling that somehow he is unable
to come back. It's never taken this long before.

The younger one showed up as usual & looked fine, just hungry.
