    Dear sweet Pebbles. How dreadful that you had to go through such a trying time with 116 other cats and that you have a scar to prove it!! But you were chosen from those 116, so you are very, very special! And now you are loved and pampered and that's exactly how it should be!

    You are so pretty and I am sorry that you are feeling very tired, sweetheart. I hope you spark up for your big day as our very worthy COTD!

After the horrors you endured over the first 6 months of life, I wouldn't blame you one bit if you chose to tune out the world, to sleep the days away curled up on your nice comfy couch, secure in the knowledge that you are safe and loved, but I have a feeling you've got a lot of living to do! What a brave and courageous girl you were to have survived such unthinkable abuse and neglect, Pebbles. 116 cats... Yet your ability to bounce back, to learn to trust and love again, to enjoy life, is testament to the feline spirit, and the healing power of love! I can feel the deep love your family feels for you with every word of your Mommy's touching tribute! How good it feels to know that thanks to them, and the Humane Society, yet one more once homeless, neglected and abused creature has found her way home; will, for all the days of her life, know nothing but comfort, caring and unconditional love!     Could this be true?

    116 cats? Pebbles, an individual in the stifling midst of 116 cats?

    And yet, it must be true, and we have all seen and read about such stories on the news.

    Good thing that Pebbles has a new life, that she is no longer a single fur blot among many, but is recognized and respected as the individual that she is.

    Freed from the maddening crowd:

    (Now, once again, the Frostfrog is about to go traveling and it will be very difficult if not impossible for me to post here. So, if any of you have a cat pop up with COTD honors, I do not intentionally ignore you, this is just how my life is. Congratulations in advance! And if any of you are following my blog, I do have three posts completed and scheduled into the future, plus, if possible, I will make a heroic effort to post any felines that I meet along the way.
