cat shleter plans?

I think, back in the dim recesses of my definitely fuzzy brain, that I remember someone posting plans for building your own feral/stray cat shelter? Can anyone point me in the right direction for those? The empty house next door has been sold (fortunately to another neighbor who is just going to tear it down) and that means I need to come up with another shelter for Bubs, our outside cat/stray....although hubby did say that if we can convince Bubs to trust us he wouldn't be a stray anymore....so very tempting...going to start really working on that.....

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME CAT SHELTER PLANS AS WELL AS I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOMETHING, MAYBE ON THE FRONT AND SIDE OF MY HOUSE
WHERE THE PORCH CATS CAN COME IN AND SLEEP IN THE JENN LIBRARIAN HOUSE.
AND WHERE EBONY TUBSTER AND FRIENDS CAN GET OUT OF THE COLD.

ALTHOUGH HES GOT A LOT OF FOUND CAT POTENTIAL IF HES NOT TOO WILD OR DOESNT ALREADY HAVE A HOME AS HE HAS NOT SKIPPED TOO MANY MEALS.

I have been thinking of opening up a Pet Spa Hotel && or it would be a shelter..

We used to use a BIG dog house stuffed with straw. Judging by the indentations in the straw pile, it was a serious hit!! Dog houses are easy to get from Freecycle or wherever.

I have shelters for my cats in the colonies. I use plastic storage bins, the kind you use to store clothing. Then buy the cheap styrofoam coolers as they provide insulation. I cut an opening in the plastic storage boxes about center. I cut the sides along the cooler and place them inside the bins and put both lids on (the cooler and bin). I put straw inside them and lots of cat nip to help encourage them to go inside. In all three of my colonies they have been a hit and are used. I actually bought Christmas ones at K-Mart when they were marked down this year to replace some of the older ones. . $10 ones for $4...what a deal. I change out the straw a few times a year. I also use them to protect their dry food from rain. I turn a couple on their sides and put the food bins inside.
