Yeah, I got the message earlier. I wasn't too sure if I should or not.

Thanks! I just thought it was odd, as soon as I had typed in my password, I was directed to my albums - before I had chosen a new one.

I checked it out...looking at the forum post and everything else Im sure that this is safe. It didnt look like a phishing scam to me.
Probibly someone got ahold of a PWord database and they caught them and now want people to change passwords as a precaution.

Did you get the message when you logged on or did they send an email?

I've got a Photobucket account but have not used it in years. Maybe, I'll
see if it happens to me too.

Go to that link (to their forum) and read why they're asking everyone to change their passwords

Thanks, Crystal, I hadn't seen that. But he screen which came up DID say it was due to security issues, if I remember.

As I have my password remembered by Firefox, I had to change BOTH computers.

I got it and changed it. I also got a notice when I logged into myspace that phishers had hacked into my account there and to change my password.. That happened TWICE in the same day (Friday I think). That is so sad that some people have nothing better to do...

I just got that message too. I changed mine too. I now have a long password. Maybe it will at least slow hackers down.
That's why I never put any vital info on the net. I guess my name and addy is there but that's in the phone book any way.

I got it, but didn't change my password cause I thought it would be pointless.

Yeah if you got the message after logging into photobucket.com and -no other URL- then it should be safe

In fact I recommend changing your password to ALL personal accounts (email, bank account, etc) at LEAST once every few months or so. You can never be too safe
