    Found a new food!!

I can't believe it! After years of searching, I finally found a dry food that doesn't have any of the ingredients in it that my cat George is allergic to!!
George wheezes when breathing and has had every test you can think of from rhinoscopy/biopsy to a full body cat scan (no pun intended ).
We had his blood sent off to VARL, a veterinary allergy lab in California and the results came back saying that he was allergic to wheat, rice, dairy, pork and turkey. As you can imagine, that has made finding a food without one of these ingredients really difficult.
Usually I find a food that has only 1 of the 5 ingredients and it's usually rice or turkey and he does okay but he still has issue and he's still uncomfortable.

But today..... I spotted a new food on the shelf at my petstore and I read the ingredients and just about fell over when I saw that it didn't contain ANY of the 5 dreaded ingredients!! It's called SPOT'S STEW by HALO. You can click on the title to get to a link about it. I got the Seafood Medly one.
I bought a small bag and George LOVES it! I let everyone try a tiny bit as a treat and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The only strange thing is the size of the kibble, it's soooooooo tiny!
Anyway, just thought I'd share my big discovery. Has anyone ever tried this food with their kitties?

No, I've never even heard of this food. I'm glad that you finally found a food that will hopefully help George. Good luck and please keep us updated.

I have no experience with the dry food, but I know others that use the canned food and have had no problems.

There is another food that came to mind when I read about George's allergies.
It's called Natural Balance and it's an allergen free formula for allergy prone cats.

Just thought I'd give that has another option, but if things are going well with the Halo, then that's what you should stick with.
