    Ozzy has TREASURE!

With the nice weather, I decided to try the dogs with raw chicken wings. The very first time, they knew exactly what to do with them. Lacey settled down to eat hers, crunch, crunch, crunch! Sugar didn't even bother sitting, she just ate hers right up, too. Marlin ate the first 2 portions, but as he has no teeth he couldn't do anything with the 'drumstick' part of the wing. He eventually walked off and left it. Sugar moved in and that was quickly gone.

Ozzy has teeth, but for some reason he never eats chewing or crunchy things. He knew what he had was SPECIAL, a TREASURE to be kept. He paced up and down the yard for an hour! I finally bent down in front of him and held out my hand. He grudgingly gave it to me. He had chewed it quite a bit, I was surprised, as all I saw was him holding it and pacing. I wrapped it up and put it in the fridge. (Well, I couldn't dispose of it with him WATCHING!)

Today I gave them wings again, second time. The story was pretty much the same. I took a video of Ozzy with his treasure! (I gave him a new one, Marlin got the prior one.) There are also some photos of Ozzy pacing.

    Here is the video:

I had to stop filming and RUN as I finally realized he was going to take it INSIDE!

I love it when they value something so much. It is a treasure to them. I love the way he prances around with his prize. I can't believe he gave it to you, Sandie. I would get some growls around here. Even if 4 days had gone by. Good job to them doing so well for the first time. D and D might stare at the chicken like it was a weird animal. I'm not sure what they would do to tell you the truth.

    I've been Boo'd...
    Thanks Barry!

Very cute. So did he eat it later or did you have to put it back in the refrigerator again?

Thanks for the comments. Terry, Ozzy is such a gentleman, he would NEVER growl at anyone! Don't think he knows how to growl!

Karen, no he did not eat it. But he KNOWS IT IS PRECIOUS!
I brought it back in, put it in the sink to put away. Next thing I know. 2 cats are sitting with it on the kitchen floor. Eventually, Lacey ate it.

Oh Ozzy you are a silly boy! Actually you remind me a lot of my Ripley. He has been known to walk around and keep a doggie biscuit all to himself - even overnight! I have found them in my bed in the morning! Ozzy please don't do that with your chicken wing! Your mommy would not be happy! LOL! Sandie what a sweetheart he is! I could just scoop him up and give him hugs.

How funny. At least Ozzie got his exercise with all that pacing. What a stitch that the cats were on their toes for a winged caper.

I can't watch the video, but the pictures are cute. Did he whine at all, when he was walking around? When I give Ginger a new chew-chew she walks around the condo with it in her mouth whining, until she finds somewhere to "bury" it.

Oh, Ozzy! You let your picture be taken! I'm glad you had fun with your treasure, even though it ended up with the kitties. Please let mom take your picture again sometime! (little kiss for fluffy white head)
