    Shiney in the Sun :-)

This is my mom's cat - his brother & littermate Pyka was PTS last July after being diagnosed with nasal lymphoma...this was AFTER expensive surgery.

Anyway, Shiney is 9, but very kittenish. He has adjusted to life as an Only Cat (though the odd time he will go and sleep where Pyka slept while trying to recover from surgery ).

But here he is in the sun; the second few photos show him "melting" under the covers, with the legs sliding out first...

(PS - he got his name because he was very SHY as a kitten - and also because he was a 'shiney new cat'. )

    Hope you got a smile!

Shiney is such a regal and stunning fellow. I'm sorry he misses Pyka.
Maybe one day your mom might bring in another cat? Might be too painful for her though which I could completely understand.
Shiney sure seems comfy in that comforter!

The building my mom lives in - you can bring pets in, but once they are gone, you can't bring in any more.

Hello Shiney!! I just love the third picture. You can tell the tip of his tail was twitching. He's such a beautiful boy!
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

What a good-looking, mellow boy! And those pictures of his sweet little tootsies sticking out from under the covers are adorable.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"

CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
