Prayers for my Puddy, please! *Update 2/23*

I have a call in to Dr. Lee but he's in surgery, so he'll call me when he's finished. Puddy threw up yesterday morning and I've learned not to panic at that. It was just once and that's it. This morning she had dry heaves so I gave her a subQ treatment. She hasn't had one in months because she has been doing so well. She fought me tooth and nail during the treatment which I considered a good sign, seeing that she is Puddy after all and when she was at her sickest and getting subQs twice a day, she never put up a fuss at all. After the treatment, she wanted to go to her room so I took her there rather than making her walk up the stairs in case she was weak and when I left, she cried, which isn't like her at all. So I went back into the room and sat w/her and she began grooming herself but she was restless, moving from one spot on the bed to another, back and forth. I waited a while and left the room again and now she's quiet but she isn't actually resting. She's sitting up. The vet tech said that Dr. Lee would probably want to see her. So I wait. At least it didn't happen on a weekend as it usually does. Sigh. How much stress is one person supposed to take? I just went through two weeks of hell w/my son's illness, now my heart kitty is sick again.

Mary, praying that Puddy is just having a bed day and nothing more than that! Some of us DO just wake up cranky, ya know??? Let us know what the vet check indicates!

A bad day I can handle. But vomiting w/a cat who is in CRF is scary. She isn't crying right now but she just won't relax. She's in a half praying position.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Puddy will be in my thoughts today. I hope all goes well.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Theres absolutley that scares and depresses a Pet Talker and thats when one of our Fur Friends is not well. Especially if a beloved Pet has lost thier life recently.
I have to fight the urge to panic if one of the Found Ctas looks unwell, or loses thier dinner.
We are PRAYING hard for Puddy, that it was just an off day for her, and not a symptom of something serious. Its so hard to lose a Heart Cat, I still look around for My Precious to follow me up the stairs with her raspy little mew.

    *Update*

Dr. Lee was in surgery much longer than he anticipated and became so late that he left w/out remembering to call me back. I insisted that they try to reach him and they got him on his cell phone and he said "Oh no! I forgot to call her! Please apologize for me." Since he's always been so good and prompt w/returning my calls, I'll give him a pass. This time.

After Puddy's subQ treatment and a dose of Clindamycin, she cried a little bit and seemed to not want me to leave her, so I sat w/her a while and she fell asleep. Every time I checked on her, she was curled up instead of being in the praying or meatloaf position, so I consider that to be a good sign. I have an 8:30 AM appt. w/Dr. Lee tomorrow to check her BUN level and creatinine. He said that he wants to be sure that she isn't getting worse and to continue w/the Clindamycin til her appt. She came downstairs w/the rest of us and she laid on my chest for a little while, another good sign. So, hopefully, her lab tests will come back ok. My finances really don't want this hit right now but it is what it is, so what am I gonna do? Count my blessings, I guess. She's improving and so is my son.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Thanx so much. I wouldn't do that unless I was absolutely backed into a corner and had no other choice. But, once again, my PT family has proven just how wonderful they all are. And double blessings to you.
    Blessings,
    Mary
