Ruby when I first saw you this morning I smiled and thought to myself 'that little girl is living the good life.' What I didn't know, was how bad it had been just a few short years before. I found my eyes filling as I read how horrible your first person was. I really do think he should be in jail for the way he treated you! If I ruled the world that is right where he would be! Thank God you wound up in rescue and are living with someone who loves you the way you should have always been loved. I am so happy that you are learning to trust and have some fursibs now. Despite your past Ruby, your future is bright. Just look at you in that dress. What a knockout! I know a couple of little chi boys right here at Pet Talk that are going to swoon today. Congratulations to a super special girl - Ruby our wonderful Dog of the Day!

Beautiful Ruby......When I read your story this morning I could not help but cry. It is so hard to beleive that there is people in this world that can be so cruel to animals. And you are so small and beautiful. Ruby I would love to have you. I am very happy that you have found a family that loves you very much and will take good care of you. Congratulations on DOTD. What a beautiful name and a beautiful little girl you are. Maggie and I are so happy you are being so well cared for and loved so much. Enjoy your new sibs. There's nothing like family! I wish I were close enough to hug you and give you a big smooch.

Like Pam, we were so happy to see a cute little Chi girl, living a great life. We couldn't help but break down into tears while reading your story, sweetheart. We always say that it takes a special kind of person to own a Chihuahua. No doubt about it, your former owner was not that kind of person. It infuriates us to think anyone could be that insensitive and ignorant. Such a delicate little flower you are. Knowing Chis as we do, we are crying again just thinking that that jerk would force you to do anything against your innocent will. There is no punishment bad enough to take care of that moron except possibly, living with our Mom for a week. Mom says, send him over!! She has alot of fun in store for him.

Thank goodness you were saved and are now living a good life. We think you are so adorable and we would love to meet you in person and give you gentle kisses and show you what a great little girl you are. We will trust your forever family to do the honors as they do every day now. Congratulations on your big day. So deserving of the honor. we proudly salute you and hope your day is fabulous. Hi All,
Thank you for the wonderful comments on Ruby. My mom has really appreciated them! Thank you!

She has thrived in our home since we adopted her. It really helped when we adopted three more chis. It's an interesting and fun household. I love watching all the chis interact.

We would love to meet Ruby's former people to give them a piece of our minds. The man inflicted sooo much emotional pain on Ruby. It has taken my dad 4 1/2 years to be able to pick her up!

Ruby is welll loved here. Just like the rest of the chis, she is spoiled rotten.
