    Stinky While Sleeping?

I've had chihuahuas for years and all of them had this smelly odor as they were sleeping. The smell doesn't last long, once they are up and around it disappears. I just came from a chihuahua forum and the members there say their chihuahuas smell also as they are sleeping and that it must be a chihuahua thing. So my question to you guys is, does your dog stink when it sleeps?

I have three pups, one being a chihuahua, and I have to say that he doesn't not stink when he is sleeping (unless he has gas LOL). I do smell the distinct odor of "frito feet" on all my pups but it is there whether they are sleeping or not. Is that similar to the smell you smell?

What's a frito smell? The guys at the chihuahua forum were describing it as a frito smell. I don't know how to describe it but it's not a doggy odor and it goes away soon after my dog is up and around.

Fritos, you know the snack chips. A lot of us on here have said that dogs feet (I think even a few said cat feet) smell like fritos. I don't notice it when my pups are up and moving around but I don't follow them with my nose on the floor LOL. If they are sitting or laying I smell it, especially on Chopper because he is usually in my lap making him closer to my nose then the big guys lying in their dog beds on the floor.

Daisy and Delilah don't smell when they're sleeping. Their paws do smell like fritos sometimes though.

Fozzie's paws REAK of fritos (aka corn chips) when he sleeps. His tummy even smells like it, because he curls into a ball. I don't think it's a bad smell, I find it endearing. C:

Gonzo's paws smell a little frito-y, but not anywhere near as much as Fozzie's.
