Saturday night Dexter (Black lab, 2yrs) was feeling mischievous, while his momma answered a phone call, and got into some rat poison... an ER Vet visit, $1000+ and 8 hours later he had to be sedated and later euthanized due to seizures. Im not sure why they even have that in their house... since its soo harmful. Vet thought they got 80% or so of it out of him.. but apparently it wasnt enough. (Tidbit about newer rat poison: It attacks the Central Nervous System instead of making the animal bleed internally, so it is harder to reverse/control.)
She and her husband have Jackson (Black Lab from previous litter, same parents) and had Dexter. They're a year or two apart. They're heartbroken, as those two are their babies... and now he is gone.
Just thought I'd post, as I just cant even imagine what they're going through. I lost my Pepper 3 years ago this month, but it was her time.. and Poor Dexter was taken many years too soon. They could use some positive Thoughts/Energy/Vibes/Etc sent their way.

I'm sure they're feeling horrible about how it happened. Sending prayers their way. Rest in Peace Dexter.
