Gave a lecture tonight

I didn't mean to but somehow it just happened!

I was out with Tobey and Archie and some random man yelled across the road "bit cold to be out with the dogs tonight isn't it?" I replied "its never too cold to be out with them" so he crossed the road for a chat

I just repeated something I read when we first got Tobey which was "you are never too tired, cold, ill, hungover or busy to walk your dog - if you say you are then you shouldn't have a dog"

Poor bloke was only passing the time of day............

That's ok, maybe next time he hears someone say "bit cold to be out with the dogs tonight isn't it?" he will repeat what you told him.

I'd have said - "Cold for me, but they've got fur coats! They'll be fine, don't worry!"

As much as it is true what you said, it is nice to see more people actually caring for the well-being of animals.
