    fresh step scoople litter safe?

i use fresh step scoople cat litter for my 2 cats. been using it for a year now and i noticed it is dusty when i pout it in the litterbox.

is this bad for me and my cats? is so what other cat litter can i buy at the grocery store that does not have dust?

also what kind of problems can dust in litter cause to humans/cats?

Hi Zappyisfun, there are two earlier threads regarding kitty litter a few below yours (one is titled "Dust free kitty litter?" and the other is titled 'The Litter Box Talks Continue") that you can check out that address this question. An article is included that talks about the potential effects of dust from cat litter to both humans and cats. There are quite a few good suggestions for alternatives from PT posters in the earlier thread that might help you. I just switched my cats over to Maxx Cat scoopable which is 99% dust free.
