    Welcome back winter...

Woke up this morning to fresh snow on the ground, temps well below freezing and some very happy, noisy huskies! It's snowing even harder this afternoon! Dogs in this team from the leaders back are Paxil-Anvik, Tehya-Pacer, Franklin-Mac.

Stopping to drink some puddle water, once they broke the ice on top of it.

Happy little leader dogs, ready to go again!

A tired husky is not only a good husky, he's a quiet husky! Franklin was unbelievably loud this morning!

Happy Mac. He was so excited to go that he hopped like a bunny for the first couple miles. He's a funny boy!

Mac needs a longer run. This was about two minutes after I unhooked him. He's playing on top of the boat! Stuart is gonna be thrilled when he finds out the dogs are using his boat as a launching pad!

Muskwa opted to stay home on the couch.

I bet you're all enjoying that snow!
I just hope it doesn't mean that it's going to move down south a bit to us too soon!

    wooo-ooo!
Good to see your happy huskies back in harness again! Well, it has been pretty warm here but today it was only 56, and finally felt like autumn! However, I don't think we'll get much snow, being right on the ocean. We'll just have to watch for your posts all winter to get our snow fix!

Pat, you may be surprised - remember the phenomenon of Lake Effect Snow? If conditions are right, those on the coast get ocean effect snow! Some years coastal-dwellers get hardly any, some years they can get more than inland folks - depending on how many Nor'Easters hit!

Oh what happy pictures of happy, hoppy huskies!

In the second picture, looked as if Daisy wanted to be hooked up with the leaders!

Hey there, Glacier doggers! I can see from your mom's photos that you are happy to get out and go! And I like the very wise look on Muskwa's gorgeous face. It was unseasonably warm in Chicago today, 85F (29C). More of the same tomorrow, then some rain followed by cooler weather. It's strange to have weather this warm when it's dark out before 7 PM.

Great photos! Winter is here too, in the mountains at least. I'm not sure where autumn went. I love the one of Muskwa! He reminds me of Nebo.
