    Key-Key

My daughter Alicia adopted a cat about two weeks ago. Key-Key is about five years old a black Persian mix. So sweet very vocal. A couple of days ago he started to throw up. I had bought him some package food and told Alicia to give it to him once every three days or once a week. Well she was giving it to him everyday trying to fatten this poor very skinny kitty up.
Today I go to work 8 am to noon. Go to the landrey mat to wash some comforters and get a phone call. Key-Key was vomiting all night, can I help? What are grandma's for?
Well right accross the street is an animal clinic so I tell Alicia to bring Key-Key and I will take him there as she has to go to work. Clinic closes at two, it's one now. She gets there at 1:30 and I take poor kitty over. No fever which is good, Dr gave him subcutaneous fluids, pepcid/famodidine injection and did some blood work, test results will be back on Monday. Hopefully it is nothing serious. Dr thought maybe a hairball or kidney problems. We have NO medical records on this lovely and incredibly sweet boy. Alicia loves him so much and so do I. He is sweet and loving and so in need of love. Bill for new kitty so far $167.00 I had to call grandpa as I didn't have a charge card on me. Please send good thoughts............. for Key Key

Poor kitty. I hope the pepcid helps him feel better until the results of the bloodwork come in, and hopefully it's nothing serious!

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

Well Key Key is once again coughing or throwing up bloody vomit.

He was ok for a bit, the vet did some tests and his liver and kidneys are ok but she also said that it could be stomach cancer. This poor little kitty is so thin, he just won't gain weight.

Sweetest little kitty I have ever met. I hope he will be ok. The kids need to take him to the vet again.

Has anyone had a kitty that throw up blood?

The only time Taz threw up blood was because of a reaction to some meds he was on. Regardless it scared me to death.
I'm sorry Key-Key is still not feeling well. I hope it is something that some more meds can help with.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!
