    Bully cats

We have new neighbours and with them, new cats. They seem to be quite aggressive and we have had numerous nights interrupted by them fighting and generally being a pain. I am pretty sure it was one of them who hurt my Brody and she is now reluctant to go outside

Is this just until they settle into their new territory and find their paws or should I invest in a water gun

I'd have the hose ready and turn it on them w/out hesitation. It won't hurt them and they'll get the message. Your new neighbors need to be respectful of other people's property and if they can't keep their cats confined to their own property, then turn the hose on their cats. You've gotta protect your own.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Would Brody take well to being an indoor cat?

That is all I can think of for now.

    Are the neighbour's cats spayed/neutered?

Maybe you can introduce them to Pet Talk .

She has access to her own room 24/7 but is spending more time inside than out at the moment. She is eating and everything but I think she is a bit nervous.

I will try to get to chat to the owners at some stage but they haven't really said much to us yet

Sounds to me like there's a whole male in the bunch. While cats can be aggressive after being fixed, a male who isn't neutered can be VERY aggressive and can do bodily harm. What Medusa said. If they can't keep their cats on their own property then keep the hose ready and waiting. Maybe if they see their cat soaking wet, they'll get the hint.

Denise - how about dropping a cheery card into their postbox? Just say something along the lines of, "Hi, I'm Denise. I see you have cats too. I am a member of a really neat pet forum called catoftheday.com."

If we can get them in here, we'll get 'em fixed up!

(If they DO join, you might have to delete this thread! LOL)

I am going to try to catch them at some stage for a little chat - "aren't your cats lovely, what are their names etc etc" and see what transpires. Hubby said he saw a the Cats Protection League van there not so long ago too
