    That is COOL!

I recently started using AA lithium batteries for my digicam, as even the rechargeables weren't cutting it!

But wow...I didn't know there were all those batteries in there!

I would if I had time to use the restroom let alone have a personal life with my job.

    That is awesome!

Don't forget that you can't throw batteries away in your normal trash!

Batteries may produce the following potential problems or hazards:

Pollute the lakes and streams as the metals vaporize into the air when burned.
Contribute to heavy metals that potentially may leach from solid waste landfills.
Expose the environment and water to lead and acid.
    Contain strong corrosive acids.
May cause burns or danger to eyes and skin.

In landfills, heavy metals have the potential to leach slowly into soil, groundwater or surface water. Dry cell batteries contribute about 88 percent of the total mercury and 50 percent of the cadmium in the municipal solid waste stream. In the past, batteries accounted for nearly half of the mercury used in the United States and over half of the mercury and cadmium in the municipal solid waste stream. When burned, some heavy metals such as mercury may vaporize and escape into the air, and cadmium and lead may end up in the ash.

Wow! You really think there really is 32 batteries in that 6 volt lantern battery?! That would be a deal if that is really true!

Hey everyone -- I think there is a reason this is called GAG films!!!!

If you really try (and succedd) in opening a battery, you will have battery acid all over the place. It burns through clothing AND SKIN.

    From a Blog:
Good information. But reality is, the batteries in the lantern battery are really cheap Carbon Batteries. Alkaline Batteries last longer but they cost more. If you do search for Alkaline Lantern Battery, they average at $20.00.

Read the link a few posts back...it says which batteries have the AA and which are full of acid, etc.

ALSO - the AA batteries are CARBON batteries, which don't last as long as alkaline!

So make sure you really are saving some money.
