    Can You Believe It?

Jasmine started pre-school last week. Can you believe it? It seems like only yesterday I was posting I was heading off to Texas to see my first grand child. And now she is going to pre-school. Since she and her mother and brother are now living with us, I get a front seat to all these new events. Here are some pictures Christy took of her first day.
    Eating breakfast

    Getting dressed

    With me and Pippi

    With her book bag

She wanted a back view of her book bag

    On her way

    Arriving at school

Boy that day went fast - her teacher brings her to the car

    And her second day outfit

I would like to tell you that she was as happy staying each day as she looks in these pictures but the truth is she cried each morning - even screaming one morning as her mother left her. But she has been through a lot the last couple of weeks so I guess it is to be expected.

So far this week though she is very excited about going and hops out of the car forgetting the kisses and hugs for mom and even the book bag and running to the teacher. She comes home with a new song or story each day - she is obviously enjoying it now very much!

She is such a cutie! I am glad she is enjoying preschool. As having been a preschool teacher for 12 years, I believe it is an important part of a childs life.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Dakota couldn't but one of Jasmine's best friends, Pippi could. But I don't think I will suggest it or Pippi may come up missing one morning!

My mom got it for her Christmas 2005 - all the great grandchildren got one filled with small toys, coloring bookes, etc. It was a big hit then and she was even smaller and now it is very useful.

Bless her heart. Jasmine looks so cute all dressed up with her school stuff.
I can imagine separating from Mom can be a scary business sometimes.
Have you hear from Brian yet? Was wondering if he made it over there?

Jasmine looks so "grown up" in her cute little school outfits, my how time flies! How can this be the little one that used to fit in the dog dishes & splash around? Glad she likes school, that sure makes it easier!

Liz, Christy heard from Brian on Sept. 9 - he and his unit were in Kuwait. I think they had made it there before Christy had even made it back here to Ohio. I would guess he is in Iraq now - there desination was above Iraq but she hasn't heard from since that Sunday.

Yes, Pat this is that same little girl
