    Never Forget You Seymour...

Well, now that we're cat sitting my grandmother's cat (who's 18), I really have been feeling sad about Seymour's death about 5 years ago. But first, here's the story:

My aunt got a kitten when she was younger from a freind who's cat had kittens. After awhile, I don't know what happened but I guess that family didn't want the cat, except my dad. My dad was going off to college and was 18, and he said he would take the cat. He got an apartment and lived with Seymour, and he really developed a bond with her. Then, his family asked if they would take their other cat too, named Sally. Sally had many health problems and had to be put to sleep the next year. From then on, Seymour lived with my dad through marriage and also when I was born. When I was born, Seymour was approximately 13 years old. We then got Critter, from a shelter, so Seymour could maybe have a buddy. They were great friends from then on. I remember that cat to this day, she was the sweetest gal ever! But I will also never forget the day she was put to sleep at the very ripe old age of 21 years old. I missed 2 days of school because I was so sad about her death. Then, poor Critter got lonely. My mom was elected on a neighborhood board, my dad started traveling for work, I had full time school and we rescued an older dog who didn't exactly like cats. But, my Grandma was pretty lonely too so we worked out a deal where, since she lives pretty close, I could visit him at least once a week. Since then he's been very happy, and I'm glad.

Sorry for the long story but wow, today I felt like a big rock hit me in the head because I've been so sad. I found her memorial thing the vet sent to us, which was very kind of him. But, here's some last words.

Seymour, if you can hear me, I will love you forever and will never forget you. I'll never foregt those moments where you'd steal my pizza right off my plate or when you helped comfort me after my hip surgery when you'd sit on my stomach for hourse straight to help me deal with the pain. So honey, play hard and eat well at the Rainbow Bridge and I will hopefully see you again someday. Bye bye Sweety Girl!
