    Graemer works his magic!

Tonight I brought home a cat (to sit for, for a week) and Graemer has made friends with her already. She has been here about 2 hours and he is totally her friend now. She hissed and meowed lots when she first saw all three cats, Gabe, Miley and Graemer, but then Graemer worked his magic. He just loves. It doesn't matter what/who it is. He is a love, for sure. He made friends with Gabe, the monster cat within 2 hours.

Anyone want to borrow him to settle pet disputes?

He is one wonderful kitty. He is also a handful!

Isn't he handsome too? I am sorry, I just love him so!

Does this mean we'll soon see pictures of four kitties? Hmmm?

Three cheers for Graemer, Head of the Welcoming Committee and Ambassador of Goodwill!! Yes, Sallyanne you certainly have a prize there and he is just as handsome as he is sweet! I too would love to see some pictures of all four together if you are able to work it out. I'm also curious as to how Gabe, the grouchy, is handling the visitor.

    Smart Gabe

Gabe could care less, he is hanging out with MOM. He's no dummy.

I just closed the guest room door with Gigit (guest cat) behind the door. I will give her a rest for the balance of the evening. She is just 1 year old and has never been around other cats, let alone 3!

I trust it will be a quiet night, knowing that it will change when I open the door!

    Have a nice evening everyone!

Graemer lost his magic touch this AM!

Well, it was a very quiet night. This morning I opened the guest room door and Graemer was the first one in. He immediately jumped Gigit to play with her and she freaked out. I think Graemer was oh so shocked to see such behavior from a cat! Rather than scream at him, I removed him and put all three cats on the porch with food and water and closed the door. Gigit has the run of the house now although she is staying in the guest room. I guess Graemer scared her to death!

I will take pictures later today. Gigit is quite cute. A tiger kitty. A bit fat.....but that's ok!

Hey there Graemer! I bet you are just wonderin' what's come over your Mom bringing all of these other felines into your happy little abode. Psst! Got a little secret for ya...this Gigit girl is only here for a little while so maybe if you try a more low key approach next time you see her you might have better luck. I know you must have been surprised at the way she reacted to your charming introduction! Oh, while you're on the porch, you might tell Gabe to watch his manners too when he gets to meet the new little lady. You know he is still a little rough around the edges yet. Gee, I hope poor little Miley doesn't feel another hot spot coming on! I have a feeling we are at the beginning of another very entertaining saga!

Graemer does indeed sound like a magician! **psst** Sometimes the ladies are a little slo-o-ower paced, sweetheart!

    Hee, hee, hee!

    The little lady cat guest

Here is Gidget....I have been spelling her name incorrectly in the earlier posts. I knew the spelling looked odd and it just now dawned on me as to the correct spelling. Oh well. She'll never know, she can't read ..... yet!

All is going smoothly, for the most part. Graemer is constantly wanting to play with the G-girl, Gabe just stays clear of her as does Miley. That is not to say that Gabe and Miley are best friends, just that they are not major players in this saga.

    Here is Ms. G!

She is a vocal little girl. A tad tubbish in her walk and being, but she is sweet with me. As I said, she has never been around other cats, let alone three new ones!

SAS - another great picture! She certainly looks very comfy there taking in the view and probably waiting for a bird to perch right in her line of vision. I think she will probably settle in a lot faster than Gabe did. Oh, by the way, don't let Graemer read Gabe's bio to her. She might just go right through that screen! LOL!

I like the little wooden kitty on the windowsill! I was thinking a while back about starting a neat thread with pictures of all of the cat/dog/pet facsimiles that each of us Pet Talkers have in our houses. I may work on that thread yet. Lord knows I have gone way overboard in that category!! We'll look forward to updates on the "Three G's and an M" unfolding story!

What a funny picture! This cat looks like he had a really long and hard day at work! Don't we all feel like that sometimes.

I was wondering if I could borrow Graemer to be a negotiator when I introduce my cats to eachother next month, what a peacemaker! (maybe he could get a special kitty-ambassador visa...? )

What a sweetie Graemer is. I think he just wants to play a lot, and the more kitty's there are around, the more play time he gets. And, yes, he was probably just surprised at how poor little Gidget reacted. I think you were very smart not to yell at him or anything, SAS. He was just being his friendly little self and didn't know that Gidget was a little shy. She really looks like a sweetheart though. What a cute little face. It's interesting that Gabe isn't really being territorial. Veerrryyy interesting. And I hope Miley doesn't get too upset at this new addition, even if it's only a temporary addition. What a saga. Can't wait for the next installment - with pictures hopefully.

All is quiet on the northern front!

When I arrived home from work today, all the cats were tolerating each other. I couldn't believe it. Gidget has given up hollering and hissing every time a cat goes near her. Even Gabe is neutral now. So tonight I will try to let Gidget have the run of the house with the other cats.

Graemer lost his collar today. I suppose it was "wrestled off" him at some point. Now I have two objects to search for this fall. One collar and one E-collar that Miley ditched a week ago!

Four cats is ONE too many for me. Three is just right. So Friday can't come fast enough for me. Gidget is sweet and cute, but one cat too many! I have learned my lesson with the numbers now. I will gladly cat sit for this little lady again, but not permanently.

    Wish me luck tonight.

By the way, I don't think it will be possible to get all four cats in one photo. Sorry.
