    Finished Pasta Bowl

This is my first artsy thing. My new SIL had requested some pottery painted by me so I decided to do a pasta bowl. The only thing I'm not happy with is how the walls blend in with the stairs. Other than that, I think I surprised myself.

I started working on a candle holder for the wall. I really like it because I'm fond of moons and stars and such. So, I was wiping it off with a damp cloth and was suprised to find a perfect heart in the pottery. I was smart enough to take some pics of it. This was on Tuesday which was my mom and dad's anniversary. It was her second one without him. I told her it was him saying hi to her. I couldn't just paint over it so I painted it red. Isn't this odd? I wonder how it got there? It wasn't visible in the pottery before it got damp, yet even after it dried, I could still see it. My mom said the spot below it looked like a tear.

Val I have always told you I envy your ability to be so creative!!!!! That bowl is absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!! I love the piece with the heart in it, maybe in fact it was your dad leaving a mark for you and especially for your mom to let you know he is ok and he loves you both. It is a nice thought anyway.

WOW!! Your painting on that bowl is gorgeous! I'll have to remind myself to email you when I decide to change my pattern for my stoneware!

That heart in the pottery is so cool... makes you wonder about fate and things like that.
