    Harry Potter--word choices/meanings

I thought I'd make it a bit more general than "What in the world does Treacle Tart taste like?" LOL. It seems like it pops up in every book, maybe even several times. My guess is that it's something like the filling of pecan pie, without the pecans?

That's not a bad description. Of course, you wouldn't get pecan pie here really, but I made it myself once from a recipe.

Shame I can't send you a treacle tart.

??? I have never heard of butterbeer in my life. What is it, or do you not know either?

OK, have done a web search. Recipes seem to vary a little, but all I can say is it does not sound good. I don't see it being adopted as the Thursday drink in the bar this week!

I have to say I tried it, and it wasn't my favorite.

I don't know how anyone manage to get the original recipe.
I thought you need a magical power to be able to enjoy butterbeer

One of my favourite desserts is warm treacle tart with a dollop of Cornish ice cream, sprinkled with crushed chocolate flake. Never tried pecan pie, but it sounds nice!
