    Garden Pictures

Not long ago, I went to ShopKo. They were selling vegetable starters for .25 apiece. I snatched up and bought one bell pepper plant (which was given to my sister shortly thereafter), one long red cayenne pepper, a Burpless cucumber, and a Sweet Slice cucumber.

The Burpless was doing really superb with two little teeny cucumbers already growing on the plant and then they died. The SS started growing some pretty well, and has started quite a few, but they've all died except one which has grown A LOT overnight. We're talking in length and around. I am pretty excited about these vegetables as they're *my* first vegetable garden-ish thing. You'd think after having lived in a farm town I'd have more knowledge on food gardening! I've just grown flowers, etc.

So, here are pictures of my growing garden.

Sweet Slice on left, cayenne in middle, Burpless on right

Spanky is about the same size as the Sweet Slice plant!

    Finger size!

Annnndd.. THIS is what I'm greeted with any time I leave out of either door and then go back inside.

What do you think you're doing going outside and leaving me in HERE?!

That's it! I'll figure a way to get to you!

Good luck with your garden. One day I may have a little garden. Your kitty is cute, that's what mine do when I go outside.

Congratulations on your gardening efforts. It looks like you will have a mini crop in no time! I loved the pictures of your helpers. What cutie pies! I had a garden years ago. I live in NJ which is known for the best tomatoes anywhere on the planet. Well, I planted beefsteak tomatoes which grew only to the size of cherry tomatoes. I never fertilized and pretty much just ignored them. Should I ever attempt another garden I will study up on how to do it right!
