    My day helping Mom....by Tehya...

    WOOOOOO PT

Long time no posts! That's cuz my Mom has not been much fun lately and when we did have some good adventures, she didn't have her camera! Boo Hiss! Bad Mom. Today we stayed home, but I had some fun anyway!

Mom borrowed this contraption from our neighbor, nice Mr. Craig. It is a log splitter and we gots lotssa logs to split! Mom says it's not as emotionally satisfying as beating on the logs, but it's much faster! (Mom is weird sometimes!)

Here's me helping Mom find the big logs that need to be split!

"Umm, Mom, I think you need to make this one smaller!" I am a good helper, eh?

OH, let me get this bark out of your way! I love to chew on bark!

"Ok, Mom, the wheelbarrow is ready. Put the wood in there and stack it in the tent"...Mom says..not my job! My grandpa came over later and he stacked the wood up. Apparently one time, my Dad, who ain't too bright sometimes, told Mom that she stacked all the wood wrong and he took it all down and did it again. Mom was ticked cuz her stacking was just fine! So now she won't stack wood at all! She went kayaking while grandpa stacked wood! I supervised him too. Humans need alot of supervision!

    WOOOOOO

Tehya so good of you to help Mom, she will need all that wood come winter time. I bet she'll let you snuggle up by the fire for being such a big help.
don't breed or buy while shelter dogs die....

    I have been frosted!

    Thanks Kfamr for the signature!

    Yeee-Haw!

I never though of *mauling* logs as "emotionally satisfying"!

Dads ALWAYS mouth off about how the Other Hald does stuff!
Story goes MY Dad took my future Mom out on his sailboat - MANY moons ago ...
Just the two of em - he normally took 3 on board as "crew".
Dad "taught" future Mom how to "steer" with the tiller/rudder - and he went up forward
to tend sails. Mom "didn't do it right" and was so told ...
"OK, CAPTAIN SIR, do it yourself!" (And promptly went below to *sulk* in the cabin!)

She gave in after listening to the "Skipper" whimper & whine about how they'd
NEVER get back to port if he didn't find some HELP somewhere.

After that, Dad was alway a bit "careful" when he "suggested" to Mom there was
another way to do something she was doing.

Wonder if Stuart has "wised up" since the Wood Stacking Incident?

    WOOO Mr. Phred

My Mom is weird! She says that it's good stress relief to split the logs. She even has her own splitting axe! When it's really, really cold , she says she feels like Superwoman cuz the wood just explodes when she hits it. Weird, I tell you, she's weird!

Dad hasn't really wised up, but he's not so rude about things anymore. He's hardly ever here lately anyway so Mom can do everything however she wants!

LOL, no I haven't been snooping, I swear!

No kayaking pictures today. I have some from last weekend when Stuart was home. He has my Stylus with him in the bush. My other Olympus camera has died! And I won't take the Nikon on the kayak! Next payday, I'm getting another little pocket camera so there will be more kayaking pics then!

    Good Point, Mr. Phred.

Just a couple days ago, my Mom was wandering around the yard muttering something about how "normal people don't live like this". I can't remember what the other dogs had done that time, but I assure you I was not involved!

Trust us Tehya, a LOT of us "normal people" would kill for the opportunity
to live a few weeks like your Mom and Dad live ~ up there in God's Country!

    oh, hi there, sweet Tahya!
I've been wondering what you've been up to?
Looks like you're keeping things running smoothy, what would they do without you?

I don't know, Ms. Pat. It must have been ugly around here before I showed up and got everyone in line. Ugly!

Her summer coat is so sleek and shiny! What a good helper you are Miss Tehya. You could teach my lazy pups a few things . I must say my Raven loves to "help" me in the kitchen when I'm trying to cook though
