Help I have poison ivy

I went to Gatlinburg last week and came back with a ton of pictures, a lifetime of memories and a bad case of poison ivy. I itch so bad that I feel that I may go insane, no really but it does itch badly. Does anyone have some wonderful advice or miraculous healing ideas? I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys!!

Calamine lotion comes in "clear" now, not the awful-looking pink stuff. Ask your pharmacist, too, I think some other lotions help.

DON'T Scratch! You don't want it to get infected.

DO wash whatever you were wearing when you got it - that oil can stay on fabric for years if not washed!

Avoid getting sweaty - makes it itch more, I think ...

The less you scratch, the sooner it'll go away ...

Play ball with Tango - it'll distract you, and he'll have fun!

Thanks Karen, real good advice about the clothes. Years huh! I will play with Tango to get my mind off it, but he prefers a cloth mouse, Ha! I never could get him interesting in a ball.
