I'm so ANGRY!!!! Kittens in peril!

My friend told me of an acquaintance of hers that has two cats that gave birth at the same time. She thinks that there are 6 kittens and they're now 4 weeks old. She's been trying to find homes for them since they were born w/no luck. My friend said "I'd hate to think what she'll do to those kittens if she can't place them." I asked "What do you mean? What would she do?" She paused and said "She'd probably drown them." I completely lost it, jumped up out of my chair and started yelling that I'd pound her friend into the ground like a f***ing fence post if she harms those kittens! I realized that I shocked my friend and that I wasn't doing the kittens any good by reacting that way, so I calmed down and got down to business. I called Ol' Faithful (Suzy), who's still actively involved in cat rescue and fostering. Her sweet husband answered the phone and said "Oh yes, we're still fostering. We just found homes for a litter of 6. Call Suzy on her cell." Bless his heart! So I just got off the phone w/Suzy and between the two of us, we're going to get those kittens somehow. I can't foster but I told her that I'd help w/vet expenses, medicines, food, etc. I'm going to see if we can get the two mothers as well because this woman doesn't deserve to have cats. And if she does do anything to those cats, I'll get the authorities after her and I WILL follow up on it. She's been going into a local bar w/the kittens to see if anyone will take them. Thank goodness, so far no one has. (I'm not being judgmental here; I'm not anti-alcohol. But this particular bar has a bad reputation and the people that might consider taking the kittens probably wouldn't be fit families either.)

Please keep your fingers and paws crossed that we can get these kittens and the moms, too, and FAST!
    Blessings,
    Mary

I Dont Blame You, A Bar Is Hardly A Very Good Place To Find Responsible Homes For Kittens.
And I Am With You That Thats Not An Adult Or Responsible Thing To Do Letting A Mamma Cat Have Kittens And Threaten To Drown Them.
We Are Praying That Eventually Get The Furr Ever Homes They Deserve.

Best of luck with this! I'll be anxiously awaiting to hear updates!!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

I really can't imagine what kind of person could keep kittens for four weeks and then drown them, certainly not someone I'd like to know. I hope you can get them away from her before it is too late.

I'm w/ya, believe me. I don't even want to meet the woman. She's moving to NY and, hopefully, she'll let us have the moms, too, because otherwise, she'll probably abandon them. I'm no diplomat and I'm liable to go off on her, so once I get the details, Suzy will go and get them. I put two calls in to my friend before she finally called me back. I just do not understand people! She acted as though it was no big deal! But she did give me the woman's phone number and Suzy is calling her right now since the woman has the night off work. As soon as I have anything positive to report, I'll be sure to post. Why, though, do I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach?
    Blessings,
    Mary

I will never understand how someone can hold such a precious life, any life, in their hands and just do away with it. I hope she never sleeps another night in her life is she does something so vicious.

Good luck on getting all of them, mommas and kitties, from that woman. Props to you for being so diligent in the cause.

Good luck with these babies, I hope you're successful and I am totally with you 100% I would react the same way. Some people are just so so ignorant of animals needs, and more importantly common sense.

Bless you, Mary. And prayers that you and Suzy get both moms and all the kittens.

That alleged person who wants to give them away in bars or else drown them should be put down, and NOT humanely. Perhaps one of the Michael Vick execution techniques would be suitable.
