Ever seen a Tortie with a lion cut??? *pics*

    Well, now you will.

Meowmie decided it was too hot around North Carolina, and that Penny was due for her first lion cut! I have never done one before, so... This is how it turned out!

It looks like the hair is all different lengths, but it isnt. The darker colors make it look all different lengths.

What do you think for a first try? I know that Penny LOVES it! She is such a happy little one now. And I am happy because I dont have to clean poopy butt every day when I wake up!

Wow! You sure are brave to do this by yourself. She sure looks like she's happier now and I bet this will really help her to keep cool.

Thank you both! She was bad the whole time, but she did not bite me like I thought. She tried, but did not "bite down". I am just proud of myself, never shaved an animal before by myself.
Anyways, she is super happy, and now I am glad that I did it

I might end up having to do that with Clover. Now that the summer months are here, she's probably going to be boiling soon, with her mostly black coat and crazy thick and medium-long fur!
But boy does it look funny! It's cute, and very practical, but whenever I see a lion-cut I just have to giggle and hum the lion king's Circle of Life

    That's one COOL cat!

A co-worker of mine thinks it's inhumane to shave a cat. Of course, this woman has the mentality of a bag of hair.

    Tortie with a lion cut

Hi Penny! You look wonderful in your new lion cut. With the weather being so darn hot I'm sure you're going to feel much better and a whole lot cooler. Not only that, who wants to clean poopy butt when they first wake up?

My, Miss Penny your meowmie did a wonderful job! You look MARVELOUS! I know all about cleaning poopie butts. I used to keep Ellie shaved like this. He LOVED it! He was like a kitten every time I would shave him. The best thing was not smelling something a midnight, and realizing it was the cat! I can't count the number of late night baths I gave.
    RIP 03-05-07 Ellie
