    Here we go again!

There's a precious 5 yr old Golden named "Ben" coming to live with us for a while, starting Monday. He is so new that he isn't even on the Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue website yet. As soon as we get back from our Thanksgiving holiday, and through the work day on Monday, I'll pick him up from the vet. He is neutered, healthy and "clingy". Sounds like my Zipper. I can't wait to meet him. Hope Mack will be ok with him. I never worry about Honey and Lilly.

    Pictures will come next week!

My daughter, Helen (15), asked me when I was going to stop this stuff? LOL!!! She said, "Mom, you know you're going to keep him". Well, I didn't keep Gracie, and I hold out faith that I won't try to keep Ben, either. My husband is not going to be in favor of keeping anyone, I promise! She knows me well, though. I miss my Zipper. Mack is wonderful, but he isn't Zipper. I think Helen is thinking that if Ben fits the bill, then I'll be saying I want him to stay. I loved Gracie, but I didn't need her to stay. Let's hope I keep the same attitude about Ben! If I keep everyone I foster, I can't foster any more!

Anyone want to put a Wager on Ben's outcome?

If my husband has anything to say about it, Ben will be on a temporary stop at our home. I didn't even ask him before I agreed to take Ben in. He's going to be out of town all next week, anyway! LOL!!! They have tons of applications, just need to get through them all.

Don't wish this on me, you guys. Pray for me to be strong so I can foster some more. Can't foster more if I have 4 of my own!

Well, can't predict love, but you can promise to help Ben out for
    awhile. Hope all goes smoothly.

    Uhhhh, OK ........

I remember *saying* that same line whilst driving to West Virginnie.

Something *happened* tween Fluff-Butt hoppin IN and then OUT at the Ranch ...

STILL tryin to figger out just WHAT *happened* ...
but the chances of him *leavin* seemed to lessen as each day passed.

I'm pretty sure he has his own Door Key, now.

Good luck, Logan! I can't wait to see him! I think what you're doing is great, sometimes I wish I didn't have so many of my own so I could foster.

He's here and he has a propeller tail! LOL!! Poor baby is so nervous, right now, but the others have gotten "over" him now, so I'm sure he will settle down. I'll try to get some pictures tonight, but I don't want to scare him right now.

This boy definitely needs some training and I fear that I am NOT the one to do that, but I'll do my best. Surely after a few days, he will settle down so that I can work with him, one on one. Now, if only I can keep Mack out of his face! LOL!!!

The vet tech told me that this one was a strange situation. She said a lady came in and said she found him as a stray, took him to her vet, got his shots, etc, and kept him a few days. I'm assuming she called rescue and they directed her to turn him in at the vet's office, but I'm not even sure about that. She said that the lady brought a bed and toys for him and cried and cried when she left him, as if she might have been his true owner, just didn't want to admit it. Guess we'll never know the real story. He is a sweetheart, though, and is finally lying down for the first time since I brought him in arond 4 pm. I'm afraid to move! LOL!!
