Fister enjoying a quiet evening in the yard

Just before 9PM last night, Fister was bored and wanted to go out. He comes to the kitchen with this hypnotising look in his eyes, so I knew what he was after. It wasn’t dark yet, so I thought OK, he’ll enjoy a bit of fresh air and nibbling the grass. It had been raining, so I wasn’t too worried he’d want to stay out long - and it turned out he was a really good boy!

He didn’t want to get his paws wet.

    Is anyone around?

    I think it’s safe.

    So I’ll go and explore....

But I must keep my eyes open

And check if anyone is coming.

    What’s behind this?

Ahh, it’s good to nibble on some fresh grass.

No Fister, you’re absolutely NOT going out that gate!!

He didn’t go out the gate as someone was coming, so he rushed to the door and was up like a rocket.

Looks like Fister has a beautiful yard to enjoy!!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

I guess he'll never forget his roots. I'm glad Fister is such a good boy
on his outdoor jaunts. Loved this picture of him.

What a fun stroll you had Fister! Were you just checking that those workmen had tidied everything up, and all was in order in your domain? No need to worry - the place is looking lovely!

Liz, that's true, it's like he knows he was born down there. He went straight to the dustbin shed first - that's where we found him and his sister, behind a dustbin, on a tiny beam. Oh, if only I had pictures from back then.

He really did enjoy his outing, and it was a good thing he chose saturday, because the grass has now been mowed.

Fister looks good while he is strolling the yard.
The Tribe enjoys fresh grass (but I grow some for them, so they only get it in a planter in the the house).
It is lovely to get outside every once in a while.
    Enjoy Fister!!!

Fister, it looks like you had a lovely time in the yard that evening. I agree with all the others who have said how handsome you are.
