I hate seeing these news stories because I can never find them again.
In a Southern Cah lee fuh nee ah school, two fifth graders were "censored"
because of the decorated mortarboards they were to wear at their graduation.
Graduating children are encouraged to decorate the tops of the MBs as a perk of their accomplishment.
Both kids glued 2 inch plastic army men to their MB's....One said that he wanted to be a pro soccer player or a soldier. The other decorated his
with the same army men and little signs that said, "I love the Army, Navy..."
He stated that he only wanted to show his support for the troops.
They offensive "guns" were removed with a pair of scissors before they could participate..
The school district has a strict policy on weapons in any way, shape or form.
