    Does it ever go away?

So we had Eli neutered 4/30/07.. and was wondering... Does the skin that was left behind ever shrink up? Or will he always have a little 'pancake' of skin there? I know its only been a month... Im just trying to compare him to other dogs at the dog park and Ive never noticed any of them having that.. but then again.. I know Eli's was rather recent.

Ive never had male dogs before and was just curious.. Zeke came neutered and hes got such long hair.. I havent a clue whats going on down there...

It should! But it depends on the dog. I'd say he's perfectly normal for how recent the neutering was, give it more time and the extra skin should "disappear"!

It took Winston just about two years, but he also wasn't neutered until he was almost 7 years old. But yes, it should go away evenutally.

there's one dog at our dog park who still has that flap even though it's been probably 2 -3 years.

LOL! Till I join somewhere else, it's still our dogpark! I still have my pass, and there's two more PT pic-nics this year The 800 miles in between us & the park are just an inconvenience.
