I FINALLY got pictures of Junior! More importantly, I finally rode Junior! For the first time in over 6 months! I literally screamed! I was so excited that I didn't notice i put my chaps on the wrong legs (my trainer did though) I had a great lesson! We had some issues on who decided where we turned, but my tainer gave me a crop and the problem was solved :]
AND!!! We were jumping, and I was doing the most advanced stuff because everyone else was having issues with their horses/pony. But my trainer got all mad at me because on one little course, I got the steps all messedup and we took off from a mile away on every jump, so she made the jumps BIGGER. So I started the course, and we got over the first and second jump (little one and a medium-ish - for me - oxar) When I turned the corner and went over the third jump, I had the crap scared out of my! My trainer raised the jump AGAIN! I was really scared of it, but junior never slowed down. He took off at the perfect time and i relaxed in the middle and then we missed the next jump but that was bc i was still thinking about the big one. I finished the little course and took my place in line again. I told my trainer that it was a BIG jump, and she said, "Well it's a good sized jump, it's 2'9"!!!!!!!!!!" HOLY CRAP! thats the biggest I've ever jumped, on the tiniest pony I ride!
Yea but she didn't have me go over it again. She had me do 2 outside lines, and the second one was jump 5 steps jump one step jump. I got totally unglued at the one step, and I yanked his mouth sooo hard! Ifelt really ad. Just wondering, is there anything I can do to help keep collected between those two jumps? Other then mane grabbing. I love holding his soft, poofy mane, but it's hard for me to steer :]
Here's the pictures:
Me giving Junior a hug before dismounting
from left, IO, Junior, and Obie. IO and Junior were trying to eat eachother, they don't get along.
His bridle is half off there :]
Do you think I'm too tall for him?? Because I really don't want to not ride him.

Rhiszo bits a little bit and i've been getting after him. I had a horse that wouldn't turn once. she was a race horse. i hated it so much. She's the type of horse you need colected reins and a crop and you practice turning. when she didn't turn for me, i took the crop and hit her on the inside of the turn and i would just make her turn around about 30x and than if she didn't turn again i would make her do it again. after a while she learned that she wasn't going to get out of it. make sure that you have a loose rein on the outside of the turn and you have they're head facing the way that you want them to go. most of the time you can look between a horses ears and thats where they're going to go. (**most of the time, definately not all the time***) If you can maybe you could try that about the turns if the horses owner don't mind. I'll talk to you later and i hope that those hints helped.
