    My Dr. Appointment

I'm posting this here since this is where I know everyone. I went to a Pulmonary Specialist today and wasn’t real thrilled when I left. She basically said she doesn’t think I’m dealing with pneumonia. There’s still an area on my lung that they want a clearer picture of what it is so I will be having a cat scan (no puns here). There were a few things she threw out the will be testing me for.

And of course ruling out anything cancerous. I’m sure all tests will come back just fine but it’s nerve wracking until you hear so.

Since I’m in the cat section I will also mention Avon is at the vet today. For many weeks now she keeps vomiting and we noticed she seems a bit thinner. I will post her results here when I hear from the vet.

Just wanted to update you all..thanks for listening.

The waiting time is always the toughest to cope with, I think. You know it's something, just not what.

Wishing you all the best for findings that are easiest to handle and heal.

I've been thinking about you and wondering when you would see the specialist. When is the cat scan? Soon I should think since you are being referred by a specialist. Many positive thoughts being sent your way that the scan shows what is really wrong with you and that it's something that can be dealt with quickly and completely. I hate it when my body gets sick, I feel so out of control of things. Please try to think of this as one more step towards getting well.

Is your husband managing to cope with all the park cats and your own? Do you have any volunteers? Did you ever see the cat with damaged front legs again?

The cat scan will take 7 - 10 days to schedule since they have to get the "stamp of approval" from my insurance company.

Kevin is doing a WONDERFUL job keeping up with the park cats and the ones at home. The hardest part is trying to keep the house somewhat clean!

We do have a couple of women that will feed the park cats when we go on vacation, but since Kevin's willing and able that's all we need at this point.

Sadly we haven't seen the poor little cat again. We both feel heartbroken that we haven't and really fear the worse for it.

Thanks and I sure hope they get to the bottom of this soon so I can start feeling better! My worst thing is the fatigue, it's unbelievable. I have no energy or incentive to do much of anything these days.

Lisa, I sure hope that the doctor will be able to help you and that your tests will all be fine. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent your way.

I also hope that Avon will be okay too. I sure hope it's nothing serious. I'll be adding her to my prayer list.

Please take care and feel better soon. (((HUGS)))

I've been thinking about how and hoping things were better.

My father-in-law went through that quite a while ago. Kept getting pneumonia. Always exhausted. He ended up having a pace maker installed and then felt much better.

Healing thoughts on the way for you.

Lisa, I haven't kept up with your condition and should have. I'm sorry. I felt that surely you were past your pneumonia and back to normal. I do hope that this specialist can get some answers for you and get you back into tip top shape. I will definitely remember you in my prayers.

Thanks everyone! The waiting is the worst part. Once I find out what, if anything, I have then should help me be able to deal with all this. You just don't realize how much work your lungs do until you don't have full capacity. When I did my breathing test they want you to get at least up to 80 and the highest I could go was 60. Hopefully they'll get me on the road to recovery soon. This has been so long now.

I haven't written much about it so there wasn't a lot to keep up with. I've been sick, extremely tired, and this has led me to somewhat of a depression. I haven't even been on here much due to all this. Thanks though and I appreciate it. Sometimes just venting helps.

Lisa, I know waiting is the worst part, and being so tired. I do hope you can get the CAT scan sooner, and the result will show nothing serious.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and send lots of positive vibes - for Avon too!

For now, get all the rest you can, and perhaps some vitamins. Stay positive!
