    worst car?

I know I've done this thread awhile ago, but since then we've gotten new members. What was the worst car you've owned? Mine was a 1973 Ford Maverick! It turned out to be the halves of two cars welded together! Needless to say we got rid of THAT right away!

I had an Austin Healey Sprite sports car when I lived in Singapore in the early 70's. My girlfriend had to get out and push it so I could clutch start it, everytime we wanted to go somewhere. One night on my way home from my girlfriends place....I stopped at a red light, and the whole car fell into two pieces....front end and rear end. It only cost me like 250 bucks when I first bought it, and I had a lot of fun in it for sure. But the next week, I went back to the very same Chinese dealer who had sold it to me, and asked him to keep a look out for a MG Midget.....and in his broken English he said to me "Hey John, you want MG maggot ???" That was enough for me....I bought my cars elsewhere from then on. LOL

My worst car was also my favourite! It was a Toyota Starlet, called Hamish T Car .

Its unique feature was the inbuilt shower (courtesy of a badly fitted sunroof) everytime it rained and I went round a corner

Mine was a Plymouth Horizon, my first car, which my dad helped me buy after my Junior year at Clemson. I think it was probably a 1978 model and we bought it used. It was actually sort of cute, but every time you slowed down to make a turn, the car would turn off! Not a good thing! It spent several months in and out of the shop, but never could get fixed, so the dealer took it back and we got a Dodge Omni instead! LOL!!! Can't say that any vehicle I have owned has been a lemon since that first one.

My mom had a Plymouth Horizon when I was little, she hated that car. I was with her the day a lady ran a red light, hit us and totaled the car. It was a bittersweet day- no one wants to be in a car accident, but we were all fine and my mom now had to get a new car!

The one we just got rid of... a 1997 Chevy Venture. All in all, it had about $10,000 of work put into it over 10 years (including a new engine!), and it would have been about another $4,000 to get it back in working order!

A lemon if I've ever heard of one.

My 1999 Mercury Mystique Sport LS is my first & only car... sooooo I cannot bad mouth the car, but I can & will BASH the last mechanic that worked on it.. or should I say BROKE IT! ok ok my car has a fer issues, but I still love it!!

I cannot go over 80km/hr without it shaking really bad... If I have to go on the 401 I'll crank my sterio so the bass will drown out the shaking.. I just come out of the car deaf & sore ears... but its sooo worth it! My engine light is on.. I know what it is & as soon as I get my loan, its getting fixed.. its just the CO2 sensor... OH my horn is now known as the gay horn.. its broken & it sounds god aweful lol When I use it everyone stops, looks & laughs it sounds that horrid... I try to do everything NOT to let Chad drive my car, cause he'll play with whats left of my horn

It use to power surge all the time.. but yesterday I decided to learn how to use the cruse control buttons (5 of them) on my car... that fixed my power surges!!! My car use to rev up to 1000 on its on.. not a HUGE issue... then it went to 1500.. then 2000 EEK!! Then the car would all of a sudden give a lot of power, to the point I had to use my break to control my car Well it fixed its self now do its all good lol I'm going to dissconnect(pull the fuse) the cruse control as I think its messing up.. but I'll do that if the power surges return.

For a couple weeks my car was addicted to gas. It was a horrible habbit & very costly. My car did so much gas, it was twice the cost :S Instead of getting 1/2 a tank/week... It took 1 & a bit/week I got mad at my car & went speeding on the 401 & it fixed its self.

I kinda like my car.. its fixes its self lol Now if it could only fix the shaking & horn, then it'll be the most perfect car lol

all in all I'm in love with my car. I was offered the White 1999 Ford Explorer that I drove for over a month instead of my car, but the car has a special place in my heart & I couldn't give it up. Even thought the Explorer was in tip top shape, same price & really good on gas! It used about 5 bucks/week more then my car does. I had a blast in the truck... I use to drive to the gas station just to speed over the gas tank holes, as the suv would bouce all over!! The jump on Winston Churchill N was awesome, you can get air doing 80-100km/hr over it in that suv hehehe Off roading was a lot of fun too.. MUD WAVES!!!! hehehe

    *Hugs her car*

I had an 1986 Cavalier hatchback that to start it, you had to:
1st - Put the key in the ignition and turn it to "on".
2nd - Flip a toggle switch on the dash board (that had been installed by my dad)
3rd - Push a button on the dash (also installed by my dad)

Varooom...then it started up and purred like a kitten!

My first car was a 1968 Ford Fairlane. Nice looking car and it ran good, but it had some electrical problems. I could turn on the parking lights, turn on the left (it had to be the LEFT turn signal!) turn signal and the radio would turn on and play without the key being in the ignition! Interesting car!

Mine was my 98 chevy S10 that I just traded in. It was my first car so I did love it, but the upkeep sure was expensive! The car ate batteries like crazy. In the 7 years I drove it I think I replaced 5 batteries! It always felt like there was something wrong with it, one day it was fine and then the next it shook on the road. So something always needed to be done to it, nothing major but I was always doing little things, spark plugs, fuel injector flush, serpentine belt replacement.... the windsheild wipers didn't work, sometimes if I got out of the car and gave them a push start they would work but then it would decide to stop working again right in the center of my windsheild to block my view. The final straw was when the radiator blew and caused a leak in my head gasket. For a car that only had 86,000 miles on it I was sick of all the problems.

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

Isn't it great to have a new car where everything works! Of course everything worked on my old car too, until that idiot ran the red light and broadsided me, totaling it.
